As my last year of Confirmation class begins with our church before I am reappointed, I enter into this season with a great deal of excitement and anticipation. I still get to share with you five more months of ministry but with each passing day I realize the window is closing for my opportunity to share my faith with you. Each sermon feels more important. Each passing conversation in the hallways of our church seems more significant. And the time I have the privilege to share my faith with the young people of the church, gosh, I don’t want to waste a minute!

I am so excited for the future of Shoregate UMC. I have only had the chance to meet with your new minister Rev. Snode for but an hour but in that hour, he conveyed such warmth and passion for the ministry that Ethan and I both agree, we are excited to hear about the ministry on the horizon. It is coming!

That being said, when you care, you want to not leave one stone unturned. When you love someone, you need to tell them. We need to articulate that love in our words and our actions. And when the love you want to share is the love of Christ, well then, my goodness, what a tidal wave to still express!
